Professional organizing is a relatively new career path, and when I meet with new clients they are often not sure what types of services I actually provide. I enjoy helping clients repurpose the furniture and containers they already own to make improvements without buying anything. Space planning – An organizer can set up spaces in your home so they function well for their intended purpose. Product recommendations – Not sure where to find containers, closet systems, or drawer dividers for your specific needs? Personalized solutions – Not every product or system works for every person, so a professional will ask you questions about your preferences and make suggestions for your specific needs and personality. Where to get rid of stuff – A professional organizer in your area will know about the best places to donate, sell, or dispose of your unwanted items, and some will even handle the process for you! Just as you might hire a painter or accountant for their specific set of skills, a professional organizer can provide assistance with tasks you struggle to complete on your own.
